DOT Region 2 Breaks Ground on New Regional Office Annex in Cagayan Valley

The Department of Tourism (DOT) held a momentous groundbreaking ceremony on August 29, 2024, marking the beginning of the construction of the DOT Regional Office Annex in Cagayan Valley. The event was graced by the presence of Undersecretary Ferdinand Jumapao, who represented Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco.

In his speech, Undersecretary Jumapao conveyed Secretary Frasco’s warm congratulations to everyone involved in this significant milestone. “This is a significant milestone, and it is with great pride that we gather here to mark the beginning of a new chapter for our Department of Tourism in Region 2,” said Jumapao. He highlighted Secretary Frasco’s unwavering support and commitment to advancing the DOT’s goals and improving public service across the country.

The event also served as an opportunity to celebrate the leadership of Regional Director Troy Alexander Miano, whose dedication and hard work have been instrumental in the achievements of the DOT Region 2 office. “This new building is not just a structure but a testament to his hard work and dedication,” Jumapao added, extending his heartfelt congratulations to Director Miano on this remarkable achievement.

The construction of the DOT Regional Office Annex represents more than just physical expansion; it symbolizes a fresh start and a renewed commitment to public service. The new facility is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the DOT’s operations in the region, enabling the department to better manage, promote, and develop tourism in the beautiful Cagayan Valley Region.
