DOT Awards Certificate of Accreditation for Farm Tourism Site
The Department of Tourism, Region 2 awarded yesterday a Certificate of Accreditation for Farm Tourism Site to Manalo-Taguba Eco Park in the Municipality of Angadanan, Province of Isabela.
Certificates of Accreditation for Farm Tourism Sites are awarded to farm tourism operators and owners that provide farm tourism experiences like fish feeding, animal petting, pick and pay, educational activities, accommodation, culinary and gastronomic exploration, walking tours, among many others.
Farm tourism sites are pandemic-compliant destinations that manages the number of clients up to a certain number.
The Department of Tourism believes that putting a cap on farm tourism guests allows for a wholesome and memorable experience for the client as well as a personalize service by the farm tourism operators.
The DOT – Region 2 office also encourages local government units to require tourism related enterprises like farm sites to seek DOT – Accreditation prior to operation in order to guarantee quality service and experience and value for money.
Visitors to the Municipality of Angadanan, in particular and the Province of Isabela, in general, are required to observed the following protocols: Registration to S-Pass QR Code; Health Guard QR Code; Acceptance Letter from LGU or Barangay and Negative RTPCR Test Result or Negative Antigen Swab Test Result. Registration to S-Pass PH requires uploading of the requirements set by the local government unit.
Interested farm tourism operators are advised to seek DOT- Accreditation in order to qualify for other benefits provided by the government.
